In 2021-2022, 426 women referred themselves to Quetzal, wanting to live free from the trauma of childhood sexual abuse. It is a 63% increase compared to 2020-2021 (n=261).

To manage the increased demand, Quetzal recruited new counsellors, going from 13 to 50 in total.

Our waiting time to start counselling went from 3 to 6 months.
