The Sun On Sunday has launched its Christmas Quids For Kids campaign to help children across the country who'll spend Christmas in hospital. Brits throw away a staggering £20 million in loose change every year.
The Sun on Sunday is asking loyal readers to check behind the back of the sofa, dig out dusty money boxes, check coat pockets and glove boxes and put forgotten change to good use; bringing a smile to the faces of sick children this Christmas.
With £1 billion in spare change lying around homes across the UK, here's a chance to make a difference and change Christmas for children across the country. In partnership with three of the biggest children's hospitals in the UK: Great Ormond Street Hospital Childrens Charity, Great North Childrens Hospital Foundation and University Hospitals Birmingham Charity, The Sun on Sunday Quids for Kids campaign will raise funds for Christmas parties, medical research and activities for children in hospital at Christmas and throughout the year.
With your help we can give sick children - and their families - a Christmas to remember.
The donations made to this page will be divided between the three charity partners of The Sun on Sundays Quids for Kids appeal. Read on to find out more about their work and how your donations will make a difference.
Money raised through The Sun on Sundays Quids for Kids appeal will go to GOSH Charity which helps fund Great Ormond Street Hospitals most urgent needs. These include pioneering medical research, state of the art equipment, support services for children and families, and the rebuilding and refurbishment of the hospital.
Your donations to The Sun on Sundays Quids for Kids appeal will help University Hospitals Birmingham Charity to provide added extras for the poorly children who are treated across our four hospitals. Whether thats toys for children who are being treated for cancer, or a special Christmas party for children with life-limiting illnesses, you will help us to put smiles on the faces of our poorly children and their families.
Your donations to The Sun on Sundays Quids for Kids appeal will help The Great North Childrens Hospital Foundation provide that little bit extra for our young patients, including toys and games, story tellers, music therapists and clown doctors to provide distraction and emotional support. Every penny donated makes a real difference to our patients and their families.
