Story
120 kilometres in 24 hours, cycling, rowing and trekking sounds like a tough challenge, but for a group of four from Bulembu this is something they are looking forward to.
For Klaus, Colani, Sicelimphilo and Nolungelo the ability to train for and take part in this tough race is a gift that they want to serve more of a purpose than just fun and a physical achievement
Having grown up together in the childcare village, Bulembu, in Eswatini, Colani, Sicelimphilo and Nolungelo know what it means to walk up steep hills to school every day but imagine doing it with one leg! Their sister Phephile knows this challenge.she was bitten by a snake when she was a little girl living at a rural homestead which caused permanent damage to her leg, and years later living as an orphan in Bulembu, doctors decided to amputate this leg and fit a prosthetic leg. She is now a grown up young lady close to finishing high school and her leg needs to be replaced as the current one is too small and could cause permanent damage to her spine and hips.
Please help these young men and woman to achieve their goal of raising R60,000 to allow Phephile to have a new leg.
