Story
This June, thousands of people will take on Race to the King. They'll climb hills, battle tired legs and push through to the finish line.
But while participants are taking on one of the UK's most iconic endurance events, local families are facing a different challenge.
Every day, St Wilfrid's Hospice supports people living with a terminal illness, helping them spend precious time with the people they love most. The hospice provides expert care, comfort and dignity, both at the Hospice and in people's own homes, free of charge.
For a patient, that support could mean managing pain well enough to enjoy a family meal. For a husband, wife, son or daughter, it could mean having someone there to guide them through the hardest days of their lives.
That's why every mile matters.
Every step taken across the South Downs helps St Wilfrid's continue providing compassionate care to local families when they need it most. As participants journey towards the finish line, they're helping ensure that no one in our community faces death or grief alone.
Together, we can turn miles into moments, challenges into comfort, and determination into care.
