Story
Please donate just £8 / 16 AUD / 12 USD for a set of boots and a coat.
This rainy season has been heavier than anyone expected. The paths leading to the Umoja Centre have turned into thick mud and standing water, making a simple walk to school exhausting and, at times, unsafe.
Each day, students set out anyway. Many wear sandals, crocs, or flip flops that slip in the mud or offer no protection at all. Even standard school shoes quickly become soaked and ruined. Some children take them off and walk barefoot through puddles and mud just to make it to class.
This is why we are raising funds to provide 50 students with raincoats and wellies. With proper protection, they can walk to the Centre safely, stay dry during the day, and focus on learning instead of the conditions around them.
A raincoat and a pair of boots may seem small, but for these students, it means dignity, comfort, and the chance to learn without barriers. Your support helps turn a daily struggle into a manageable journey and keeps education within reach, whatever the weather.
