In 2022, a valuable investment was made by closing the street in front of Pacelli and replacing it with Greenspace- allowing for a safe and cohesive "campus" environment for our students to play, learn, and gather.

At that time, a roundabout driveway was put in front of the East side doors of Pacelli- with three flagpoles in the middle to proudly display the flags of the United States, the State of Minnesota, and the Vatican. These flags are a great way to show our pride in these institutions and inspire others to commit to the work of Civics to continue to build a better world for all.

The recent winds this spring have tested the limits of our flagpoles, and have caused them to bend. They continue to get worse as the winds persist this summer. The decision has been made to make an upgrade and buy three new, stronger poles that are suited for this display. The Flags are powerful symbols- and very recognizable as you'll see that Flags are featured in many of our school events throughout the year.

These new poles will be a once in a generation upgrade that will be noticed and appreciated by all who enter our doors.
