Exciting News: Rajab and Eunice Are Coming to the UK!

Organised by The Nasio Trust

Rajab and Eunice, two of The Nasio Trust’s first beneficiaries and vital team members, have been invited to travel to the UK in May 2025 to accept the Egmont Trust’s Best Performing Organisation Award. We are fundraising for their visit to the UK.

The Nasio Trust is a UK registered charity and Kenyan NGO which supports orphaned and vulnerable children and empowers communities to break the cycle of poverty. Established over 20 years ago, our community-based approach is aimed at providing a holistic solution to tackling the root causes of poverty through education, healthcare, psychosocial support, food security and income generation. Our Philosophy. We believe children should not grow up in institutions like orphanages, where they are isolated from society because of poverty, sickness, disease or death of parents. Children should live in a loving family with dignity without being stigmatised by the cause of their vulnerability.

This May, Rajab and Eunice two of The Nasio Trust’s first ever supported children, now inspirational leaders in our team in kenya have been invited to the UK to accept the Best Performing Organisation Award from our long-time supporter, The Egmont Trust.

Their stories represent the heart of Nasio’s mission, resilience, empowerment, and transformation.

Meet Eunice

Eunice lost both parents as a child and faced years of hardship. But with the support of Nasio, she finished school, discovered her passion for social work, and today:

• Leads women’s empowerment programmes with over 200 women

• Runs our porridge kitchen, feeding malnourished children daily

• Hosts UK volunteers, making every visitor feel like family

She’s a powerful voice for change and now, she’ll share her story on a global stage.

Meet Rajab

Orphaned at age 7, Rajab grew up with Nasio’s support. His journey from vulnerable child to healthcare hero is truly inspiring:

• Now a Clinical Officer at our medical Center treating over 20,000 patients a year

• Educates his community on HIV prevention, teenage pregnancy, life skills and more

• A role model to our young people

His commitment to helping others makes him the perfect ambassador for Nasio’s impact.

During their 3-week visit, Rajab and Eunice will:

• Visit schools, churches, hospitals, and community groups

• Raise awareness of Nasio’s vital work in Kenya

• Connect with the supporters who’ve made their journey possible like you!

This trip is more than just an award ceremony, it’s a powerful moment of visibility, pride, and inspiration.
