At Morden Islamic centre, we are raising funds to help and support the brothers and sisters affected by the global pandemic. So many people around the world are affected badly by the isolation measures. They are not getting any help from their governments and going through very difficult times.

Story

During these unprecedented times in the midst of a global pandemic COVID-19, the majority of us are fortunate enough in the UK to be able to ride out this economical hardship with or without the support of the government. In the developing countries across Asia and the Middle East our brother and sisters are not as fortunate.

We already have a wealth of knowledge knowing the conditions and hardships our Muslim brothers and sister face, with some working daily in order to put food on the table for their families and others resorting to walk the streets begging for enough money to go home and feed their children, parents, spouse and siblings.

During this global pandemic with the whole world on lock-down and our brothers unable to leave their homes to make enough money to put food on the table that day, they are struggling more than we can imagine. This is the time we need to stand together and financial support them by raising enough money to be able to provide the bare necessities for a family to eat comfortably during the month of Ramadan.

May Allah reward you for this good deed Insha Allah. Allah promissed us in Surah Baqarah:

Those who spend their wealth in the Cause of Allaah, and do not follow up their gifts with reminders of their generosity or with injury, their reward is with their Lord. On them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve

[al-Baqarah 2:261-262]
