Operation Smile were founded in 1982 with a goal to provide expertise in treating cleft lip and cleft palate, creating solutions that deliver safe surgery to young people where it is needed most.

It is estimated that every 3 minutes a child is born with a cleft lip or palate. Those who survive may not be able to eat, speak, socialise or smile. But a 45 minute surgery can change their lives forever.

Operation Smile work with volunteer, fully trained medical staff, to perform these easy but much needed operations and create sustainable solutions through training local staff and providing medical equipment in areas of high poverty.

We are embarking on a "sponsored" walk during the month of June and all money raised will be directed towards this amazing Charity.
