Story
To celebrate and encourage a lifelong love of reading, we will be running a sponsored read alongside the reading roadmap.
What is the Reading Road Map
The Reading Road Map is a national initiative that has been created to help encourage children to develop a new passion for reading. It is a tool for children, parents and educators to recommend different up to date books, authors and genres.
Depending on the year group, the child will be asked to read 30, 40 or 50 books. Each book (except the classics) have been published in the last 12 months so that the children have the chance to explore new and interesting books in a variety of genres.

How the Sponsorship Works
The student you have sponsored will have committed to reading a certain amount of books or a chosen amount of time each day. The reading will take place throughout the school year starting in November. They then will ask family, friends, neighbours, etc to sponsor them. The sponsorship monies can be given in the form of cash or through a donation on this justgiving page.
Please remember to write the child's name when donating. The classes are competing for a cinema afternoon and the class with the most monies raised will win their prize.
What Happens with the Money Raised
All of the funds raised will be injected back into the school to pay for the reading books, a fun class prize and other things the school may need.
