Hi! I’m Rebecca, a Geordie lass and content creator from Newcastle. This October I’ll be walking a half marathon around Eldon Square for a brilliant charity called Chuf, which is the Children’s Heart Unit Fund, based here at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle upon Tyne.

The charity does a lot of incredibly special work for children and their families who have been affected by heart conditions that need to be treated at the Children’s Heart Unit. From providing children with medical equipment and entertainment while they’re on the heart ward, to supporting them through to adulthood. Chuf helps create special memories while giving life changing support to Heart Heroes and Heart Families when they need it most.

Eldon Square have kindly given me the opportunity to fundraise and raise awareness for this amazing cause by allowing me to complete a half marathon by walking around the centre. Which is roughly 26 laps! I’m ready for sore feet and a great day!
