Story

Chocolate Box exists to build authentic relationships with vulnerable women, offering love, support and opportunities for change .

Many of the women we work with have been affected by issues of homelessness, addiction, broken relationships and street prostitution . We are able to offer practical, social and emotional support. We have been serving our city for over ten years now and are proud to be part of Church Army.

We have been thinking of new ways we can bless and support the women we work with. So, in a similar way to Gousto and HelloFresh, we want to provide Recipe Box style food parcels. By providing the right ingredients, the women can make their own homemade meals, e.g. simple bean stews, noodle dishes and a sweet treat like a yummy cake-in-a-mug :)

The women we support have experienced times of great hardship. For them, having no settled home is normal. For some this is beginning to change. With a new home, there is now a real chance for positive change. We want to continue to support and to add value to this change by preparing regular Recipe Box food parcels to provide encouragement and a smile.

A Recipe Box style food parcel costs at least £20 and our aim is provide at least 100 of these by the end of May 2021 through this funding. We would love it if you could sponsor one, two or three :) and maybe you could get others you know to join in too! It's amazing what we can do together.

Also, why not personalise your sponsorship by sending a simple favourite recipe of your own, and we will add the best to the recipe book. Email: rachel.stone@churcharmy.org

Many thanks!
