Story
Reclaim the Night is a global movement for women's safety, focused on ending gender-based violence and ensuring that women and marginalized genders can move freely and without fear in public spaces at night.
Originating in 1977 in response to a police suggestion that women should stay indoors after dark. The movement organises public marches during the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence (November 25 to December 10) to demand an end to violence and hold perpetrators, not victims, accountable.
No more silence. No more violence.
