Story
Today one person will die of an eating disorder every 52 minutes.
We're on a mission to change that. Eating disorders are difficult to beat. Anorexia has the highest mortality rate of any mental illness, and inpatient treatment can cost over $1,000/day. Even for those who do receive treatment, medical and psychological care alone may not be enough. Relapse rates are high, and many people only make a partial recovery.
As a community of peers and professionals with lived experience of eating disorders, we know recovery is possible. For many, yoga can a key missing link in treatment helping people to reconnect with their body, access self-compassion, and finally reach full recovery.
Our programs combine yoga, psychoeducation, and peer support to help people help one another recover from eating disorders. We offer programs virtually and free-of-charge, so people can access them from their homes anywhere in the world. Over the last ten years, we've helped over ten thousand people in forty-two countries recover from eating disorders.
To continue, we need your help!
All summer long, we're raising funds to keep our programs free and accessible to all. We're asking good humans (like you!) to pledge to fundraise $500 or more. Together, we can make a difference and ensure no one has to face this illness alone.
