It's hard to believe but the Redmond Community Centre is now over 10 years, from when it was built in 2011!
After a tough couple of years for everyone (I think you know what we're talking about!). We want to come back in 2022 with a fresh, welcoming new look. Which is why we're asking for much needed donations to make this a reality.
For the past 10 years we have been providing services that benefit some of our local residents in Woodberry Down and across London. We deliver services that have been proven to improve overall well-being, fight isolation and support those who want to learn new skills. We believe that no matter where you started in life, we all deserve the same chances.
Laura is a single mum with two children who moved to the area in 2018. She joined our much loved sewing group to make new connections.
It's hard being a single mum, let along moving to a new area. While the kids are at school, I wanted to make some new connections as I feeling quite lonely. After joining the sewing club, not only did I learn a new skill, but I also made friends that I can relate to. I really look forward to my Tuesday afternoons now!
This is just one story showing why our services are so important, and why they deserve a functioning, and welcoming space.
£10 can buy sewing storage to keep sewing equipment safe for member like Laura
£20 can buy paint brushes, so members of the community can design and paint a wall mural in the centre
£50 can buy home comforts like cushions and throws in our Centres social area
We're thrilled you want to see our community centre back to it's former glory and more! We thank you so much or your support.
