The Isle of Wight is an important strong hold for the UK's red squirrels and as such we view it as crucial that we support their safety and well being here to the best of our ability.

Here at the IOWRST we were recently able to purchase a piece of woodland for the protection and observation of and education on red squirrels. A second piece of adjoining woodland is also available and we would love to purchase it to create a bigger safe haven for the red squirrels.

This feels like an audacious plan but we are confident that, with enough support from people who love and value the only squirrels native to the UK, it is a goal that we can achieve.
