Reeva is aged 1 from Caerphilly. She was born on 25th October 2021 at 41 weeks with no complications. From 6 weeks old Reeva struggled with feeding and had severe silent reflux which caused her a lot of pain. This resulted in several hospital admissions. At 6 months old, we noticed Reeva making abnormal eye movements. As a result of an MRI scan, Reeva was diagnosed with hypomyelination of the brain.

Reeva is under the care of Noah's Ark Hospital, Cardiff where we were told that Reeva is 1 in a million and we will need to wait on genetics to find a diagnosis. Although, there is a high chance that Reeva will remain undiagnosed. Reeva has severely low muscle tone which means that she is very delayed in her physical development. No one has answers about what Reeva's future holds but one thing is for certain, she is very loved and very determined! We have every hope that with the right therapies and equipment Reeva will achieve great things. Therefore, we are kindly asking for your support.

As great as the NHS are, they are unable to provide the amount of physiotherapy that Reeva will need. Private physiotherapy, travel and accommodation to these centres and specialised equipment come at a great cost. We want to ensure that Reeva is given the chance that she deserves to be as independent as possible and give her the best quality of life.
