Reigate Rotary Club have launched a Christmas Appeal to help local charities help local people . Our local foodbanks run by Loveworks , St. Matthews & Merstham Mix Meals Service , and other local charities like Welcare, Homestart, Renewed Hope Trust YMCA Hillbrook Hostel are being asked to help more people than ever. But the cost of everything has risen and more money is needed - PLEASE.

Reigate and Redhill have a number of deprived areas and some hundreds of families, single parents, disabled and elderly people whose plight is serious. These people are suffering and have very little spare money to buy food or to pay for electricity/gas to cook the food and heat their accommodation. Most people's needs have been assessed and are referred by Social Services. The cost of living crisis has affected everyone and fewer people have been donating food or money to the foodbanks, so they need help in order to help those in need..

The foodbanks are St Matthews serving Redhill, Loveworks serving Reigate area and also Merstham, and Merstham Mix which provides a cooked meals service delivering heaven-sent meals to people who cannot shop or cook. Merstham Mix has also provided meals for children who otherwise may go hungry.

Reigate Rotary is committed to continued support of local people in need and has recently helped East Surrey Domestic Abuse Service, Stripey Stork, Renewed Hope Trust, Welcare, Citizens Advice Bureau, Dementia First, Merstham School, Samaritans, Surrey Young Carers, Age Concern and East Surrey Live at Home.

The Reigate Rotary Appeal is for local charities for local people helping LOCAL hungry, sick, homeless and disabled people of all ages
