This year has taken us through tough times at our hospitals; however every day we still care for children on our acute and cancer wards. These children and their parents are sometimes scared to come into our hospitals where patients with the COVID-19 virus have, and still are, being treated, even though they know they need lifesaving treatment themselves.

At any one time there could be up to 62 children receiving treatment or facing scary procedures; 20 of these will be going to theatre and 36 will be receiving chemotherapy.

Christmas is particularly hard for families wanting to make the day as good as it can be with a child in hospital.

We will send you an antler hat template which the children can make and decorate as they like, together with sponsor forms, individual collection envelopes and stickers.
