Since 2018, PFP has been partnering with Remba Junior School to help improve access to education for the children of Remba Island.

As a highly transient fishing community, many pupils need a safe place to stay to continue their education. Earlier this year, the local government agreed to fund dormitories to match PFP's investment in classroom facilities and education programmes at the school. However, children sleep on thin mattresses on the hard floor and are vulnerable to mosquitos and other pests.

We want to put bunk beds into the dormitories - doubling capacity and providing a more comfortable and safe sleeping environment. Ultimately enabling even more children to succeed at school!
