Can you help us to reunite a kind and gentle man with the wife and three children he hasn't seen for seven years?

Having suffered imprisonment, torture, separation from his loved ones and now cancer, we are asking for your help to raise funds for family reunion visas to bring Abraham's family to the UK from Africa.

Abraham is has suffered greatly in his life: he was imprisoned and tortured for his political activities, followed by a long and painful separation from his wife and 3 children who he has not seen for 7 years.

His name has been changed here in order to protect his family who have been threatened by the security forces in his country.

During his time living locally, Abraham has given so much to the local community but now, having finally been granted his Leave to Remain, he is due to have surgery for prostate cancer next week. Because of this, he is unable to work and cannot raise the funds to pay for the family reunion visas. Previously these expensive visas were funded by larger national charities but they are no longer in a position to be able to help.

As a result of the long delays in securing family reunion visas, and mindful of his ill health, we are appealing for £2000 to cover the costs of the visas so that Abraham can be with his family as soon as possible.
