Our Mental Health Bank needs a new therapy table, it is used every week to support the physical and mental health of MHB clients.

Revival Food & Mood is a pioneering social enterprise based in Whitstable, serving the Canterbury district. Our aim is to support the mental health journey for all those struggling with an emphasis on robust, fully monitored services that focus on prevention, de-escalation and proactive selfcare. Dedicated to transforming the understanding and support of mental health through accessible, community-led initiatives, providing vital life-changing support and information via our Community Mental Health Programme. We aim to foster a strong, resilient, and supportive community where mental health and wellbeing thrives.

As a society we are facing a mental health crisis, a combination of chronic underfunding, an exodus of qualified staff, the covid pandemic and a cost of living crisis, has resulted in shattered lives and a broken system. There is a very real lack of access to, or long waiting lists for specialist Qu support, significant levels of over-prescription of medication and a failure to meet the mental health needs of individuals and communities. Unchecked mental health can result in deepening decline in mental health, mental overwhelm, comorbidities, relationship and family breakdowns, domestic abuse/violence, addiction, suicide and silent deaths. The Mental Health Bank is a response to this crisis.

Revival, East Kent Mind established the Mental Health Bank for the benefit of the community to improve mental health and wellbeing, provide alternative, complementary pathways to support and recovery and to help address health inequalities. It is run completely by volunteers and is supported by community fundraising. We need your help to replace our well used and needed therapy table.
