The Ramadan Family Commitment (RFC) is a Channel S initiative that brings our community together in the spirit of compassion, unity, and generosity. Your single donation is shared across all 26 appeals raising funds throughout the blessed month of Ramadan, ensuring no cause is left behind and no cry for help goes unheard.

Inspired by the late Dabirul Islam Choudhury OBE, this Ramadan we call upon the hearts of donors across the UK and around the world to stand with the most vulnerable – the children, sisters, and brothers of Gaza, Bangladesh, and many other forgotten corners of the world who desperately need our support.

In Gaza, more than 60,000 Palestinians have reportedly lost their lives, up to 60% of them women and children. Nearly 1.1 million children are struggling to survive, most displaced into an area smaller than 50 square kilometres. Hunger, fear, and acute malnutrition are a daily reality. Childhood has been replaced with trauma, uncertainty, and loss.

In Myanmar, around 3.4 million people have been displaced by violence, nearly 40% of them children. In places like Rakhine State, families flee with nothing but hope that someone, somewhere, still cares.

In Haiti, over 700,000 people – including 365,000 children – have been forced from their homes by brutal armed violence. Across the country, six million people, among them 3.3 million children, urgently need humanitarian assistance, most facing severe food insecurity.

By the end of 2024, nearly 50 million children worldwide were displaced by conflict, violence, and natural disasters. That is 50 million young lives searching for safety, warmth, and a future.

This Ramadan, let us be their hope.
