Story

Who are Respite for Veterans?

Respite for Veterans (RFV) is a registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) dedicated to working for the benefit of UK service and ex-service personnel with disabilities or are wounded.

We are a small, yet passionate group of volunteers with a mix of Armed forces and civilian backgrounds. We strive to provide respite facilities and experiences to aid the health and wellbeing of our beneficiaries and their families.

Why do we do what we do?

Most of our volunteers have either served in the Armed forces or had family members that have. There are strong links to the Armed Forces, and a great understanding of the sacrifices made, including the impact to those that have been wounded or have disabilities. In some cases, some of our volunteers also have been wounded during their military service.

These links and these first-hand experiences are why we are dedicated to our charitable purpose and committed to giving back to those UK Service and ex-service personnel (and their families) who have sacrificed so much for others.
