St Elizabeth's Cyclists – 2026 Ride “Richmond to Roubaix"

Raising money for our beloved primary school in the heart of Richmond, a group of 37 parents and teachers are training hard on their bikes to cycle together to Lille in France over two days in May 2026.

Story

St Elizabeth’s Cycle Ride “Richmond to Roubaix" in France from 8 May to 10 May 2026.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the first sponsored bike ride in support of St Elizabeth’s Catholic Primary School.

Supporting our local Catholic primary school in the heart of Richmond!

This May, a strong team of 37 volunteers will cycle around 300 kilometres to raise money for our wonderful primary school St Elizabeth’s.

The school aims to nurture and guide each child to reach their full potential academically, personally and spiritually, and we as parents and staff will use our pedal power to financially support the school on that journey.

In these times of school funding challenges, our financial support is required to keep the school on its highest level and we need your support in fundraising!

The money we raise will be used to provide learning resources for the children in school and continue with the IT and playground upgrades.

A group of current parents, former parents and teachers are coming together to take on a tough two-day ride to France.

On Day 1 we will be cycling 100 miles, followed by another 80 miles on Day 2, finishing in the iconic cycling site of Roubaix.

The team has been heading out on weekly training rides, building stamina, strength and team spirit as we prepare for the big weekend. Some of our parents have never cycled on a road bike before taking on this challenge!

Every contribution large or small will make a difference. And, since St Elizabeth’s is a registered charity, all your donations qualify for Gift Aid too: just remember to tick the box when you make your pledge.

Thank you very much on behalf of the children, the school and the 2026 cyclists!
