Founded in 2006, what started with a house for women trafficked into sex work in Southampton has grown rapidly into a national network of safehouses and outreach hubs. Today we're one of the UK's largest providers of survivor services, with ten safehouses and six outreach hubs across the country. Our aim is to empower survivors to reach their potential and reclaim their place in society.
We have two safe houses within Central, one supporting 14 women and one supporting 9 men. Our safe houses support individuals who have been exploited to recover from their experiences of exploitation and regain their independence. Our fundraising helps us to keep providing this service to some of society's most vulnerable individuals, and your support makes a real difference in the lives of both male and female survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking.
What are we doing?
On Sunday 15th October staff teams from across both the Central safe houses will be getting their walking boots on to complete a 10-mile walk along part of the Ridgeway. En route, we will be taking in the sights of Barbury Castle and one of the famous Wiltshire white horses, all in an effort to raise awareness and vital funds to support survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking.
