The elderly are our future!
When Woking Borough council announced they were bankrupt they also announced they would be stopping all non statuary funding. This included closing all the day centres in the borough of Woking.
Regenerate-RISE has stepped in and taken on one of their sites, St Mary's community centre. This has become the only open access centre in the borough and with no government funding we have to fundraise to keep this service going. St Mary's is a centre for the whole community, where young and old can come together, helping put an end to social isolation. We also have a mums and toddler group, a children's play area, a free book exchange, and a community café.
Regenerate-RISE needs to fundraise a total of £45k per year to keep this service going. We need your help.
