🚨 Emergency CT scan and treatment for Rizz 🚨

Our beloved carriage driving horse, Rizz has a mass behind his eye, and we urgently need to get him a CT scan and treatment.
Our beloved carriage driving horse, Rizz has a mass behind his eye, and we urgently need to get him a CT scan and treatment.
It all started with what seemed like a simple sore eye, but it gradually got worse. Concerned, we called the vet, who took one look and immediately noticed a mass behind his eye. Unfortunately, without a CT scan, they can’t determine the size, cause, or how serious it might be.
Right now, Rizz isn’t in pain, but we need to act quickly to get the scan and develop a treatment plan before the condition worsens. Time is critical, and we’re asking for your help to give him the best chance at recovery.
The CT scan alone costs £1000, and with additional vet visits, medications, and possible surgery, the total cost is likely to even exceed that. We are reaching out to our amazing community for support in covering these urgent medical costs.
Rizz will be taken to Liphook Equine Hospital, where he will receive the best care possible.
⭐️ Thank you, Natalie and everyone at Park Lane Stables ⭐️
After surgery to remove a mass behind his eye and two nights stay at Liphook Equine Hospital our darling Riding for the Disabled Association carriage driving horse is back at home with us!
Rizz is in good spirits being back with his herd mates. He will be on box rest for two weeks until his stitches come out. We are still waiting for the histology report, but in the meantime he will be getting all the TLC and rest he needs.
The biggest thank you goes out to all of you who made this happen by supporting us with donations and kinds words.
Rizz will still have a journey ahead of him, and he will have to adapt to life with only one eye, however many horses have lived long and fulfilling lives after becoming visually impaired.

About Us
We are a registered RDA (Riding for the Disabled Association) centre with a wide programme of activities, including assisted riding, horse care, carriage driving, and hippotherapy. We daily see how being around horses enriches the lives of children and adults with disabilities or learning difficulties. Whether on the autistic spectrum, visually impaired, or a full-time wheelchair user, we offer activities that can help improve confidence, skills and self-esteem, set within a supportive and friendly environment. All sessions are run by fully trained RDA instructors and DBS-checked volunteers.
