Story

When a child is fighting for their life, their family fights with them.

Each year 320 families call The Ronald McDonald House "home" while their child battles their illness in hospital. Our House is a place to call home, a place of stability and a place where family life can carry on despite serious childhood illness.

Each kilometer you cycle represents one of the families staying with us this year. Each euro you raise supports them through one of the most difficult times of their life.

Our House is especially important for families living outside of Dublin, who would be faced with the financial burden of finding accommodation in the city to stay close to their child. Over 4,300 families have lived here over the years, some living as far as 370kms from the hospital.

The average stay time at our House is just under a month and the longest stay was 889 nights. Our House is here for families as long as it takes.

It costs us 420e a week to keep a family at our House onsite at CHI Crumlin. Without your continued passion and generosity we could not keep our families close to their sick child in hospital.

By joining the Yellow Jersey Cycle Challenge you are making an impact in these families lives. Wear your yellow jersey with pride.

Sign up, track your kms and raise vital funds to help us keep a roof over the head of the families of Irelands sickest children.
