RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.

Story

The RNLI is working in partnership with Skydive Buzz who are based at Dunkeswell Aerodrome near Honiton in Devon to provide the opportunity to take part in a charity Tandem Skydive.

This is an amazing opportunity to take part in a Tandem Skydive from 15,000ft, experiencing 60 seconds of freefall while enjoying the beautiful Devon landscape from the air. Be this a once in a lifetime experience, ticking off an item from your bucket list or simply raising money for your favourite charity.

Participants can choose to jump on one of the eight dedicated RNLI Days or select an alternative day.

RNLI days on Sun 21st April, Fri 10th May, Sat 22nd June, Fri 12th July, 20th September and 12th October.

Across the weekend of Sat 3rd & Sun 4th August, we’ll be hosting a special lifeboat station and lifeguard weekend for operational & engagement volunteers and staff to come together and experience a sky dive alongside each other.

To take part in a Charity Jump you need to raise a minimum of £395 for the charity along with an additional £50 deposit, although most participants raise considerably more for their charity.

By raising at least £395 you will be eligible to “Jump for Free”, although many participants elect to cover the £250 cost (less deposit) themselves so ensuring that the charity benefits from all the money they have raised.

Last year the RNLI’s Volunteer Lifeboat Crew at the charities 27 lifeboat stations in Cornwall, Devon and Somerset launched a total of 1,217 times. The RNLI’s Lifeguards based at its 79 Lifeguard Units were involved in an incredible 8,799 incidents. In addition, the charities volunteers delivered water safety messaging to thousands of people around our coast and the charities fundraising volunteers raised over £2m to support their Lifesaving work.

The RNLI is a charity that relies on voluntary donations to conduct its work. We are proud to be able to support their amazing work and the thousands of volunteers who give up their own time to help others.
