WE'VE BEEN ROBBED

On Thursday 14th of August 2025, someone walked into our reception, distracted our receptionist and stole money before speeding away towards the A128... we are heartbroken...

South Essex Wildlife Hospital rescues over 9,000 sick, injured, and orphaned wild animals every year. We are a registered veterinary practice open 24/7 365 days a year. We provide support and advice to the community about all aspects of helping wildlife.

Story

Writing this breaks our hearts but, at around 17:10 today, our hospital was robbed...

A white male estimated to be between 25 and 30 entered our hospital reception and asked the receptionist for directions to a local garage. When this receptionist went to get someone local to help, this individual climbed over the reception counter and stole money from a locked cash box before jumping in a car and speeding away towards the A128.

In a time where every single pound counts this is devastating for the charity. Not only were the funds needed for our patients taken from us, but the generosity of all of you has now been stolen too. If anyone has any information please contact Essex Police quoting reference 42/117120/25

CCTV is being reviewed.

We know that funds are tight for everyone right now but, if you could help us with these vital funds we would be so much more than grateful ❤️
