Robert's Ultra Marathon Across Hadrian's Wall

On 14th June, I am taking on my biggest challenge yet – The Wall, a gruelling 70-mile Ultra Marathon from Carlisle to Newcastle along Hadrian’s Wall in aid of Berwick Cancer Cars.

The Berwick & District Cancer Support Group was founded in 1992 and our main service is to provide free transport to any cancer sufferer to all major hospitals in our area. The group is entirely made up of volunteers and we rely on the help and support of everyone in the community. Get in touch with us to find out more and help us by supporting the many events and activities that the community hold in aid of our charity. Our main service is to provide free transport to any cancer sufferer to all major hospitals in our area e.g. Wansbeck, Newcastle, Borders General and Edinburgh for any cancer related appointment. When possible a friend or relative may travel alongside for support but please check a seat is available when making travel arrangements.

Story

After losing my dad a few years ago to cancer I understand the importance of getting the correct help as fast as possible. Living in England’s most Northerly town the help needed is often 60 miles away. Berwick Cancer Cars is a fantastic local charity that provides vital transport for patients requiring medical treatment.

I have decided to push myself way out of my comfort zone and will be taking part in "The Wall'. This event is the UK’s most iconic ultramarathon where I will try to conquer the stunning 70 miles over the historic Hadrian’s Wall and all within 26 hours!

I would like to raise funds for this fantastic local charity while attempting this feat and would be delighted for any support you would give!
