Bonjour besties!
Hey there, Its me Rocco, the resilient little rescue Frenchie! If you’re not already firmly in the Rocco’s Rockstar's’ fan club, allow me to swing by and say Salut! and to tell you a little about my story so far and give you all an update…
Even if I do say so myself, I can tell you I'm a very brave and equally adorable blue French Bulldog pup, who has already overcome so much in my short life. I had a rough start and ended up in the care of the National Animal Welfare Trust Clacton (NAWT). When I arrived, I was battling a nasty parasitic infection called Giardia. Thankfully, the team at NAWT took me in, and with the help of the vets gave me the intensive care I needed to get back on my paws.
Despite the challenges I've faced, I remained a happy and energetic pup who doesn't let my past hold me back. I've been through a lot but was all for putting my best paws forward and getting on with having fun and being a typical cheeky puppy. I was so ready to recover from all I had been and make the most of my chance at a pawesome new life!
However, there was still one hurdle left for me to overcome. If you’re not too distracted by my overall cuteness, you can probably see on my photos I was suffering from a condition called cherry eye. It was uncomfy and sore, and I heard the vets telling the people at the NAWT that it would probably cause vision problems and other complications if it was left untreated any longer. That's why I urgently needed surgery to make it better. As a rescued pup, I rely on the kindness and support of others to help me through this, as vets’ bills for conditions like mine add up to big amounts for little pups!
Despite my health issues, I’ve been lucky enough to find a loving new home very quickly, where I can recover from the surgery surrounded by love and care. But the people at the NAWT still need to raise enough funds to cover my medical bills, so that they can carry on helping more poorly pups like me. I’ve heard its hard out there now for people to afford the things they need, so there’s more of my feline friends and canine companions in need of veterinary help like I was, all the time.
The vets have skilfully completed my surgery, and I’ve very quickly recovered and I’m feeling better than ever! I'm so excited about the new chapter in my life, and with your help, we can make it happen. Any contribution towards my surgery costs would be immensely appreciated, as it will not only help me but also allow funds to be freed up for other animals in need at the NAWT.
I’d like to say a big, big Thank you! To the superstar supporters who have already given to my campaign so far, you are all pawesome and are so kind for being there for the NAWT, so that they can be there to help make all the difference to pups like me. But we still have a long way to go to pay this big big vets bill, so I hope you can consider giving a little something to help me on my journey, even small amounts can soon add up when you have many friends to make.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story, Id love if you could have a scroll down through my photos to see what a difference you could be helping to make!
Merci Beacoup friends, love from Rocco!
