Story
More than 60,000 young people. Eight years of outreach. One vital next step.
For the past eight years, Oriel Ministries has created places where young people can belong, build positive relationships, receive support and discover the hope of Jesus.
More than 60,000 young people have now come through our projects.
On 24 August 2026, The Loft - our current venue - will close. Changes to the building’s use, access and operating costs mean remaining there is no longer sustainable.
Our work in schools is running smoothly, the Pulse Bus will continue, and we are working hard to maintain continuity for Shake Shop and our other venue-based projects. But if this work is to grow sustainably, Oriel needs a new home.
The mission has not outgrown our hearts. It has outgrown the current space.
We are raising an initial £25,000 to begin the practical, professional and preparatory work needed for a new Youth Activity Centre & Community Hub in Launceston.
This is more than a vision for a bigger building.
It is a vision for greater impact.
A place with room for:
• Young people to feel seen, safe and supported
• Families to be welcomed
• Mentoring, prayer and pastoral support
• Schools, churches and community partners
• Creative activities, training and events
• A café and family provision
• The next generation to encounter the hope of Jesus
Your gift helps us take the first practical steps towards a new Youth Activity Centre & Community Hub - a place designed to create more room for young people, families and hope.
This first milestone will help us move towards spaces such as:
• A welcoming café where families, young people and the wider community can connect
• A flexible events space for youth gatherings, worship nights, training and community use
• Safe, positive spaces where young people can belong and build confidence
• Family-friendly provision, including soft play and welcoming spaces for parents and carers
• Mentoring and support rooms for prayer, pastoral care and one-to-one conversations
• Creative and activity spaces where young people can discover gifts, skills and purpose
• Future youth-focused activity areas that could include sport, skate, climbing and wider community provision
Every gift helps turn the vision from an idea into a practical next step.
Open to the community.
Rooted in hope.
Built for the next generation.
Thank you for supporting and sharing.
