Baby Necessities is a local baby bank supporting families through trusted referral partners. Every referral bundle we prepare represents a family going through a difficult time and can include essential items such as prams, cots, clothing, toiletries and more.

Demand for our support has grown rapidly. Referrals in 2025 quadrupled since we began five years ago, but our space hasn’t grown with it.

As demand continues to rise, we’ve outgrown our current premises. Limited space affects how many donations we can accept, how many volunteers we can welcome, and how much support we can offer. It also impacts our ability to run vital services like our monthly baby weighing clinic and to develop future family support sessions.

Our Room to Grow campaign aims to raise £200,000 over the next year to enable us to move to a larger premises, creating the space we need to support more babies, families and volunteers, and to ensure we’re never faced with turning a family away.
