Every year, York and Lancaster face off in one of the largest inter-university sports tournaments in Europe.

Each year, we partner with a different charity. Across Roses weekend, we raise awareness and money for the charity, highlighting important causes. This year, we are partnering with York Mind. Lancaster University will likewise be raising money for Lancaster Mind.

York Mind are an independent local mental health charity which empowers individuals experiencing mental ill health to start on the pathway to recovery, supported by one simple belief: the condition should never define the person.

Did you know that…

£5 could pay travel expenses for a York Mind volunteer to support in a group

£20 could support a young person through a 1:1 mentoring session

£30 could pay for someone to attend a counselling session

£240 could support a young person to access twelve 1:1 mentoring sessions

£480 could provide someone with a confidential safe space to talk to a trained counsellor, through sixteen 1:1 counselling sessions.
