Dover Pantry, Dover Food Bank and Sunrise Cafe will be providing essential support to our local Community all year round but especially during this festive season. Rotary Club of Dover have been helping, supporting and raising funds for our local Community for 100 years and in these really difficult times we are asking everyone to help us raise vital funds for these 3 local charities

The Sunrise Cafe is a community cafe where there is kindness, friendship, sharing and true community spirit. Experienced cooks and volunteers prepare and serve the meals. Their menu includes a full cooked breakfast, mid-morning coffee and cake, plus a two-course lunch.

Their 'pay what you can afford' model ensures no-one goes hungry and customers just pay what they have. They support anyone who is hungry and struggling to put meals on the table.

The Dover Foodbank is there when it is really needed and an absolute lifeline for many less fortunate people. They dont believe anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. Thats why they provide three days nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis. They are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.

The Dover Pantry have centred their organisation around three vital values: Dignity: Everyone deserves secure access to good food. In Dover Pantry, everyone is greeted with compassion and respect. Choice: Community food initiatives vary, but at Dover Pantry, members always choose the food they want. Hope: Dover Pantry help to create financial wriggle-room for members to start building the better future they seek. By reducing weekly shopping bills, members can free up money to cover other bills, repay debt, or start pursuing their and their childrens dreams.

All three charities will be providing much needed support for those less fortunate over the festive season and throughout the winter.

Many people in our town will be struggling to get even the basics this winter and it is our hope that our video will encourage your generosity by way of a donation to these great causes.

Many people will be relying on these Charites to help support them through this Christmas period and into the New Year, please help us raise £2000 for each Charity and make it a very happy New Year for all our Community.
