Climb Snowdon by Night: Sunrise for Sight & Community
The Challenge… On the evening of Saturday 27th June and into the early morning of Sunday 28th June, we are taking on a unique challenge: climbing the highest mountain in Wales in the dark.
We will be trekking 9 miles (14.5km) up the Llanberis Path, guided only by headtorches and moonlight, aiming to reach the 1,085m summit of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) by 04:30 AM to catch the sunrise.
Why We Are Climbing… This isn't just a walk in the dark; it's a journey to bring light to others. We are self-funding our own places on this trek so that 100% of the money we raise goes directly to charity.
Your donations will be split 50/50 between two incredible causes:
• Guide Dogs: Supporting those with sight loss to live actively and independently - a fitting cause as we navigate the mountain at night.
• Cirencester Round Table: Funds will be voted on and distributed to local charities and individuals in our community who need it most.
Funds raised will go to Cirencester Round Table, a registered Charity (number 1093144), 50% of the overall total raised will then be passed on to Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Our Fundraising Goal… Because we are paying our own event entry costs individually at sign up, every penny you give goes directly to charity. We have set a target of £150 per climber.
• To our climbers: This is your minimum goal—but don't stop there! The RAW mountain climbers historically average £350 per person, so let's see how high we can go!
• To our supporters: Please dig deep. Whether it's £10 or £50, your donation motivates us through the cold, the dark and the steep climb to the top.
