In less than a month, hundreds of runners will line up at Ewood Park to take part in the Blackburn 10k.
This year’s run will be the fourth time Blackburn Rovers Community Trust has hosted the event alongside race provider Run Through.
Ahead of the race, on Sunday 3rd December, Blackburn Rovers Community Trust are on the lookout for 30 runners to join our new running group, ‘Rovers Runners’
This unique opportunity for runners of all abilities presents supporters with the chance to represent their football club as an official Blackburn Rovers runner on the day, with a number of fantastic perks for joining.
To be a Rovers Runner, we ask for you to help raise money to support our brand new Community Wellbeing Hub at Ewood Park. It is the perfect opportunity to align two passions, Blackburn Rovers and running, and in the process, helping your local community.
BRCT opened the Wellbeing Hub in September and it further increased the commitment and support the official charity of Blackburn Rovers Football Club offers to the local community as part of the organisation’s strategy to improve people’s mental and physical well-being.
Blackburn Rovers Community Trust prioritises the current and ongoing needs of the local community, and the Community Wellbeing Hub will provide a safe space for those seeking help in a non-clinical and welcoming environment.
The Community Wellbeing Hub connects and empowers people with mental health needs through effective and coordinated service delivery. The Hub is free to access and will provide shared office space, breakout rooms and leisure spaces for health-related organisations including Blackburn Rovers Community Trust to work from and see their clients.
So, if you want to join Rovers Runners, raise money for an important cause and enjoy numerous perks, this is the initiative for you!
