Visit the charity's profileRowcroft's new event D2D challenges you to walk the Coast Path from Dartmouth to Dawlish over just 2 days!
Starting by getting the ferry at Dartmouth, the path follows some of the most challenging Coastpath round to Berry Head, home to the largest guillemot colony to be found along the south coast of England and seas of beautiful wildflowers. Going through Brixham, the walk flattens out a little and walkers can enjoy the sandy beaches and flat paths as they walk up Rowcroft Hospice in Torquay. D2D participants are encouraged to camp in the Hospice grounds or if preferred, there are plenty of local B&Bs. All walkers are encouraged to join us to build up their energy stores with a big BBQ in the evening.
ON the second day, walkers can enjoy a continental breakfast in the Hospice grounds before setting off on the coastpath to enjoy rugged terrain and before descending into Shaldon, getting a ferry across the River Teign and walking along by the railway track to Dawlish.
