Every 15 minutes, someone in the UK dies of lung cancer. Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is the only UK charity wholly dedicated to defeating lung cancer. It is a responsibility we take very seriously. Lung cancer is the UKs biggest cancer killer- in both men and women. It kills more people than breast, colo-rectal and prostate cancer combined yet receives only 6% of research funding. This is simply not good enough and we should all expect better. The Great North Run will be one of our biggest fundraisers this year with over 80 runners taking part in 2022, with each person raising a whopping £350.00 for the charity. As you can imagine, this is not an easy task! This is months of fundraising and months of training. We are so greatful to anyone who runs this iconic race - RCLCF
