πββοΈ Run & Rescue Board Paddle Fundraiser 2026 π¨
Help Us Build the Next Generation of Lifesavers
On Sunday 21st June 2026, Dunbar Surf Life Saving Club will return to Belhaven Surf Centre for our third annual Run & Rescue Board Paddle Fundraiser.
What started as a fun community challenge has become one of the highlights of our year. It's an afternoon filled with friendly competition, laughter, teamwork and determination, but most importantly, every lap completed helps us continue our mission of keeping people safe in and around the water.
Last year, our amazing members, families and supporters completed an incredible 379 laps and raised Β£1,300.26. This year we're aiming even higher and we'd love your support to help us make 2026 our biggest fundraiser yet.
Why Your Support Matters
Drowning prevention and water safety education are at the heart of everything we do.
Over the past year, Dunbar Surf Life Saving Club has continued to grow, training 20 local volunteers as Surf Life Saving coaches and safety team members. These volunteers help deliver training, support events and provide vital safety cover within our community.
At the same time, our junior and nipper section has expanded to 54 young members, all learning essential skills that build confidence, resilience and respect for the sea.
"Every young person who learns water safety and rescue skills today could one day help save a life."
What Your Donation Will Fund
Every pound donated will directly support the continued growth of our club and help us provide more opportunities for local children, young people and volunteers.
Your support will help us:
π Purchase new Red Rescue Nipper Boards
π Train additional volunteer coaches and safety team members
π Expand opportunities for our growing membership
π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ Deliver vital water safety education and lifesaving skills throughout the community
More Than Just a Surf Life Saving Club
At Dunbar Surf Life Saving Club, we're about so much more than board paddling and beach training.
We help young people develop:
β Water safety awareness
β Rescue skills and techniques
β Confidence and resilience
β Teamwork and leadership
β Lifelong friendships
β Skills that could one day save a life
"The confidence, knowledge and friendships built through Surf Life Saving stay with our members long after they leave the beach."

Whether you're taking part, supporting from the sidelines or simply stopping by for coffee and cake, we'd love to see you there.
And don't forget your hat! Rich will undoubtedly be wearing his famous Viking hat, so we're encouraging everyone to join in with their own fun, colourful or outrageous headwear.
We'll also be running a fantastic bake sale, giving supporters the chance to enjoy some home baking while learning more about the club and the work we do.
Thank You! Our club simply wouldn't exist without the dedication of our volunteers, members, families and supporters.
Every donation, share and word of encouragement helps us continue providing lifesaving skills, water safety education and opportunities for young people across East Lothian.
Together, let's smash last year's lap record, raise even more funds and continue building a safer future for our community.
π Thank you for supporting Dunbar Surf Life Saving Club.
