The people of Gaza are experiencing catastrophic levels of food insecurity. Israel enforced a total siege and blockade on Gaza, refusing entry of vital aid such as food and medical supplies.

Islamic Relief has been able to successfully resume the distribution of hot meals and we are distributing at a shelter in Gaza City that is hosting displaced people including children, 70% of whom are battling cancer.

However, more aid needs to urgently be allowed into Gaza, as the UN reports Gaza is likely to enter famine imminently. 1.1 million people in Gaza are suffering severe hunger. Children are dying from starvation and most families are now going whole days without eating.
