Many individuals supported by Renewed Hope face severe and multiple disadvantages, including un-managed long term conditions, poor mental health, substance use, and limited access to primary care.

On 20th September, Renewed Hope were represented by a team of runners and volunteers at Run Reigate. This launched our campaign to help fund a Health Outreach Service at Renewed Hope.

The model is a fortnightly clinic at our Drop-in where a Specialist Homelessness Nurse could meet our guests and offer health checks, wound care, vaccinations, mental health support, harm reduction, GP registration, safeguarding, and advocacy.

The service will aim to operate through a flexible, trauma informed outreach model designed to improve access to preventative care. and reduce avoidable A&E use.

This will be a great addition to the services available at our drop-in centre in Redhill. Open Monday to Saturday, 52 weeks of the year, anyone who walks through the door is greeted with a hot meal, a shower, and a conversation with a support worker — no questions asked.

For many guests, that simple act of being welcomed without judgement is the first step towards putting their life back together.

Renewed Hope also runs Hope House, supported accommodation for homeless men, and a Winter Night Shelter in partnership with local churches.

None of it happens without community support. Renewed Hope relies almost entirely on local people, businesses, and volunteers to keep running. That's where you come in.
