Story
Alabaré believes no one should be forced to call the street home. There are simply too many people living on the street, in their cars, on someone's floor.
Tina was 18, she had been living with her Grandmother but their relationship had fallen apart forcing her to leave her home, and with no where else to turn, she was forced to sleep in her car. It was brutally cold and Tina was very nervous about how to keep herself safe. She was also pregnant.
Tina was signposted to Alabaré's dedicated Parent & Baby home, where she was given full support as the date of her baby's birth approached. Tina now has a beautiful little boy. With support, her relationship with her Grandmother has improved and she is looking forward positively. Tina is one of almost 3,000 people we will support over the year. We help the homeless and vulnerable with supported housing, looking at debt, mental health, experiences and qualifications that enable a person to move forward towards a more fulfilling life. What we do has impact - we save lives, we create hope and stronger communities.
Your donations really matter and we are so thankful for your compassion and generosity.
