Story

Carers are those people who care for a family member or friend who is ill, frail, disabled, or has mental health or addiction problems.

The lockdowns have been really difficult for Carers with many spending more time caring than ever before, putting others needs before their own. Your gift today could help a Carer reconnect with the world, get on line, take a break and build friendships.

Statutory services can only help with basic physical needs for people, like getting up and going to bed. After this, everything else is left to their unpaid Carers leaving little or no time for them to care for themselves.

This campaign is to support Carers to have some quality time for themselves, to care for them while they care for others.

About the charity

In life many of us will care for a family member or friend for extended periods of time. These can be stressful and difficult times. Crossroads supports people in Oxfordshire and West Berkshire to perform this role. We help with support groups, training, respite care and even give people holidays.
