Story

Drug and alcohol addiction affects people from all walks of life and the reasons behind it can be complex. Research is now showing that in many cases it is a response to childhood trauma or difficult life events. Our service users have often lost their home, their health, their job, family, friends, confidence and hope. People can remain caught up in a vicious cycle of addiction, problems, shame and guilt. We believe that with the right support at the right time, people can and do recover fully, regaining their health, dignity and purpose .

Like so many other charities, we need your support to continue our work, which helps individuals by building self-belief, relevant skills & a positive support network. We also help to increase understanding of addiction and break down the stigma which still surrounds the issue . With your help, we can continue to restore hope, dignity and purpose to many more people in Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire who desperately need help.

It's easy to take part. Just set up a fundraising page on JustGiving, and opt to connect your page with the Strava fitness tracking app. Then you can easily upload your training sessions and demonstrate your progress and achievements to your donors!
