It’s hard to describe the impact the players had on this trip, but I hope they understand. Just watching them interact with the Rwandan kids was a special thing – not just playing football, but singing, dancing, laughing, chatting, hugging.

Every one of them brought something different to the trip, finding their own special niche – their kindness, quirkiness, humour and friendship shown through. As individuals they were special, as a group they were spectacular.
