Story
For the fifth year running, we're bringing together teachers, volunteers, parents and local businesses to take part in the Gloucester 10k, with the goal of raising £10,000 for Read With Me. And this year, we are hoping to be the biggest team at the event!

Now working with nearly 120 partner schools across the county, Read With Me volunteers provide vital one-to-one reading sessions that help children develop their literacy skills, social skills, and above all, confidence.
We also offer wrap around support in the form of holiday clubs and after-school clubs, as well as give away thousands of pre-loved children's books every year.
Every donation helps children in Gloucestershire develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive - not just in school, but in life.
You can hear from some of the children we work with and their teachers about the difference one-to-one reading can make:
And 2026 is an extra special year, as we're proud to be part of Gloucestershire's Year of Reading - a county-wide movement celebrating the joy of reading. In the lead up to the race, we'll be doing some training around the county's literary landmarks, so make sure you follow us on social media to stay in the 'loop'! Find us on Facebook and Instagram.
