We are so excited to take part in one of the region’s most vibrant charity events - the Rotary Club of Wolverhampton’s Annual Dragon Boat Challenge. It’s a day built around fun, teamwork, and raising vital funds for incredible causes.

Held on the beautiful Great Lake at Himley Hall and Park (DY3 4DF), the event has grown into a major community event. Not only is it a fantastic experience for the teams competing on the water, it’s also a brilliant day out for spectators who come along to cheer, celebrate, and soak up the atmosphere.

Throughout the day, teams take part in three thrilling heats, with crowds of supporters lining the lakeside to support their favourites. Drums are beating, paddles splashing, and supporters roaring their teams to victory.

Your RWTC will be out in force with several boats in the race, and we’d love you to join us in cheering on Team RWT. Whether you’re backing the racers or simply enjoying the festivities, there’s something for everyone. Alongside the action on the water, you’ll find a lively mix of stalls, great food, refreshing drinks, and plenty of family‑friendly entertainment.
